About Conexus Mergers & Acquisitions
Advisory for Owners Facing High-Value Decisions
Conexus Mergers & Acquisitions is an independent advisory firm dedicated to helping established business owners understand their options before committing to a sale. We focus on clarity, preparation, and informed decision-making, not listings or volume.
Our work is grounded in experience, judgment, and discretion. We support owners at the crossroads of valuation, preparation, negotiations, and sale — offering a calm but structured perspective that recognizes the significance of these decisions.
Experience That Informs the Present
Conexus M&A is co-led by Maurice (“Moe”) Muise, whose advisory career spans more than three decades.
Founded in 1998 as Muise Mergers & Acquisitions, the firm spent nearly 30 years advising business owners through valuations, sales, and complex ownership transitions. That experience shaped the advisory philosophy that defines Conexus today: thoughtful guidance, disciplined process, and decisions grounded in clarity rather than pressure.
The evolution to Conexus reflects continuity in purpose — bringing deep experience to bear in a more focused, multi-discipline advisory platform.
A Legacy of Experience
Maurice (Moe) Muise has spent the better part of three decades doing one thing exceptionally well: helping business owners exit on their own terms, at maximum value. As the Founder and President of Conexus Mergers & Acquisitions Inc., Moe brings a rare combination of strategic insight, financial acumen, and genuine respect for the emotional weight that comes with selling a business. His approach is grounded in honesty, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to his clients’ success.
The Financial Engine of the Deal
Dan Jennings, CPA, CA, CBV, CF, brings the financial rigor to every Conexus M&A engagement. A Chartered Business Valuator since 1998 with a CPA Corporate Finance specialization, Dan leads the valuation and deal-structuring side of negotiations — determining what a business is truly worth and shaping terms that hold up from offer through closing. He has guided owners across Atlantic Canada through their most consequential financial decisions, turning the language of the deal — EBITDA, multiples, working capital — into clear, confident choices for his clients.
Part of Conexus Worldwide
Conexus Mergers & Acquisitions operates alongside Conexus Exports and Conexus Marine Advisors within Conexus Worldwide. This structure allows each practice to focus on its specialized field — mid-market M&A, international market expansion, and marine enterprise advisory — while remaining connected by shared values, leadership, and standards.
As markets evolve and decisions become more complex, Conexus remains focused on what matters most: helping owners navigate high-value choices with clarity and confidence.
