Maurice J. Muise
Partner
For more than three decades, Moe Muise has connected people, capital, and opportunity. He builds the relationships that turn into deals. After launching and scaling two retail chains in Atlantic Canada, he moved into advisory work in 1992. Since then he has guided owners through M&A and export development transactions, including an international franchise agreement for a Canadian pizza franchisor in the UAE. His years in Dubai and the GCC, and his associates across Canada, the U.S., the UAE, and India, give him a global network.
Moe opens the door for each of the three Conexus divisions:
Conexus M&A: winning sell-side and buy-side mandates, backed by valuation, financial analytics, and virtual CFO support, so owners exit on their own terms at maximum value.
Conexus Exports: developing international markets and partners for Canadian companies, including defence and security manufacturers seeking global representation.
Conexus Marine Advisory: connecting buyers and sellers of commercial fishing boats, fishing licences, and complete fishing enterprises, with a focus on Atlantic Canada’s fishing communities.
Moe served in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve and the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) from 1966 to 1972, including a NATO deployment in Europe during the Cold War, and was awarded the Special Service Medal. He is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology with executive training at Harvard Business School, Saint Mary’s University, and Dalhousie University. In 2013 he co-founded the Society of Atlantic Heroes, supporting military personnel, RCMP officers, first responders, and their families. In 2024 he was inducted into the Order of St. George.
